Finally! It's time for the 9th annual Norway Open. To me this is one of the higlights of the curling season.
It's going to be great to see all our friends again. The two teams from Jevnaker, that we can always count on. And we also got some danish friends that always show up at this event. This will be Mona's eight time participating! She holds the record, along with my sister Sissel and me. Her partner on the ice, Morten, is only trailing by one. No wonder they got their own parking spot outside Stange curlinghall. They have won Norway Open two times by the way, in 2018 and 2022.
And the swedes! Pontus is back again. This will be his third year in a row. A hat trick for him, but with a new girl each year. A popular guy, that's for sure. And he always plays well at Stange! In 2022 Pontus got third place, in 2023 he got second place and in 2024 he'll get ...
Pontus' new partner on the ice is Gabriella. She's one of five firsttimers in Norway Open this year. The junior players from Lillehammer, Hedvig and Filip, has been here countless times before, but this tournament is new to them. This year we also got a team that travels faaaar to get here. Our new friends, Zara and Showkat, is from India. So, really faaaaaar!
